Managing Your Subscription & Billing

Everything to do with paying for StoutStack (your plan, your card, your invoices, and cancelling) lives in one secure place: the secure billing portal. This article shows you how to get there and what you can do once you're in. Managing billing is a Site Admin task, so you'll need admin access to your site.

Where billing lives

Open Site Settings → General and look for the Billing & account panel. This is the home base for your subscription. Only Site Admins can see it. Site Editors don't have access to billing.

Opening the billing portal

From the Billing & account panel, click Manage billing. This opens our secure billing portal in a new browser tab. It's handled by a trusted, industry-standard payment provider, which is why your card details are never stored on your site itself.

  1. Go to Site Settings → General.
  2. Find the Billing & account panel.
  3. Click Manage billing. The billing portal opens in a new tab.

What you can do in the portal

The secure billing portal is your one-stop shop for anything money-related:

  • Change your plan: switch between Starter and Pro, or move between monthly and yearly billing.
  • Update your card: add a new card or replace the one on file.
  • View and download invoices: see your full payment history and download PDF receipts for your records or your accountant.
  • Cancel your subscription: end your plan whenever you're ready (see below for what happens next).

Changes sync back automatically

Anything you change in the billing portal flows back to your StoutStack account on its own. There's nothing to re-enter. Switch plans and your new plan and limits update automatically. If your renewal date changes, your account reflects the new date. Just make your change in the portal, and your site stays in step.

Where are my invoices?

There isn't a separate invoice list inside your StoutStack admin: everything billing-related lives in the billing portal. To find a receipt, click Manage billing, then open your billing or invoice history in the portal, where you can view and download each invoice as a PDF.

If you've scheduled a cancellation

If you cancel but your paid period hasn't ended yet, your site keeps working right up to that date. The Billing & account panel will show you the exact date your subscription will end, so you always know where you stand. You can resubscribe from the portal any time before then to keep things running without interruption.
